Lara Crivelaro is a general director of EFIGIE Educacional, an international education company that promotes internationalization among students and higher education institutions.
She graduated in Social Sciences from UNICAMP in 1991. She was granted a Master’s degree in Sociology from UNICAMP in 1995 and a PhD in Sociology from UNESP in 2000. She was a a director of the School Policamp. A educational institution specialized in the area of technology and with over 1500 active students, she was a director of post graduate courses at Metrocamp for 6 years, she was dean of planning and institutional development of UNIGRANRIO for 4 years, she was general coordinator of distance education at the São Leopoldo Mandic, institution localized in Campinas specializing in the area of health for 4 years and she was coordinator of the Social Communication course of Universidade Paulista – UNIP, for 10 years. She has teaching experience in the area of Sociology, focused on Research Methodology and Communication Sociology. Author of three books, she develops research in the following subjects: Public Policies, Education and Citizenship. She has experience in School, University and Academic Management.
David Hooser is the President and CEO of Franklin Learning Centers, LLC and of FLC Enterprises. He is also Manager of ESPL Holdings, LLC. David is a 13-year electronics executive turned 17+ year entrepreneur. His career in the semiconductor business included sales and management positions at notable companies like Advanced Micro Devices, National Semiconductor and Motorola Semiconductor. Michael Choate handles Technology Management as Chief Information Officer of FLC Enterprises. Mr. Choate has more than thirty years of technical, management and executive experience in information technology and telecommunications related businesses. Most of Michael’s experience and management training occurred during his more than 20 year career with Viad Corp (Greyhound-Dial) companies, beginning as a software developer for Greyhound Computer Corporation and progressing to the Executive Director level in the corporation.
Shannon Hakkal has been an educator for over 15 years. She has worked with students of all ages and grade levels in both public and private school settings. In addition to her classroom experience, Shannon has supported students in online and blended learning environments for the past decade. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from The College of William and Mary in Virginia, a Master of Education degree in Elementary Education from Northern Arizona University, and an Arizona Teacher Certification. Shannon plays a vital role in managing all aspects of FLC’s innovative academic programs.
Janeen Scaringelli has worked in education for the past 19 years. She has been an elementary and middle school teacher, and a high school guidance counselor. Janeen holds a Bachelor’s in Elementary Education with an emphasis in English as a Second Language (Northern Arizona University), a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction (Northern Arizona University) and a Master’s Degree in Counseling (Ottawa University). Janeen has been with Franklin since its inception, and her goal is to help students succeed and prepare them for the future.
Michelle Schilling has 10 years of experience in education, working in a variety of public school settings from preschool through high school. Michelle has served in education as a science teacher, online educator, and an educational consultant. She is an active member in the Arizona Department of Career and Technical Education (ACTE). Michelle currently holds a Master of Arts in Educational/Administration and Supervision, with an Emphasis in Organizational Leadership from the University of Phoenix. Michelle has received several distinguished educational honors, and has presented at national education conferences.
Jared Richardson has spent the last eighteen years designing and delivering education in traditional face-to-face and online formats. He has completed Master’s level programs in Educational Psychology, Instructional Design, and Latin American Culture. He is currently employed in a variety of roles with Franklin Virtual Schools, including science and Spanish teaching, curriculum designer, and accreditation specialist. He is a US Air Force veteran who traveled the world extensively through the course of his duties, and is fluent in Spanish.
Kevin Miller is an experienced leader and marketer, currently serving as the Director of Marketing for FLC. He has been marketing for over ten years with multiple industries, including automotive manufacturing and international NGOs. Kevin champions customer service-driven marketing and putting the needs of the client first. When not in the office, he can often be found teaching military history to high schoolers, spending time with his wife and 4 kids, or computer gaming.
Brian Elmer has been an integral part of Franklin since the company’s inception and launch. He has a long history of work in customer service and small business operations. Brian plays an integral role in student support, walking students through registration, credit transfers, and graduation requirements. He enjoys supporting the challenges of Franklin’s growing efforts to bring quality education to students all over the world.
